Donna L. Jeffrey would like to take this opportunity to share her enthusiasm about the wonderful community of students and parents at McDowell School. As the Executive Director /Principal she is confident that she will make a significant contribution to your child’s education and is pleased to have this opportunity to serve your family.
Ms. Jeffrey’s educational credentials and field of experience demonstrate a depth and distinction in the field of education for the last 22 years. She received a Master’s of Science in Education Administration from California State University, Fullerton and her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education K-8th with an emphasis in Physical Education from Washington State University, Pullman. She considers herself to be a lifelong learner with endless energy and enthusiasm for working with students, teachers, and parents.
Ms. Jeffrey is confident that you will be consistently impressed with the magic and creativity in the classrooms. We as a team are a community who cares, and who celebrates diversity, critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, and collaboration. Each child is unique, beautiful, and willing to learn. Ms. Jeffrey is so grateful to spend her days surrounded by McDowell students.
Cheryl Cragun, Preschool Director
Cheryl Cragun first became involved at McDowell Elementary and Children’s Choice Preschool in 1986 when her eldest daughter first attended preschool. She became an active volunteer and held a chair position on the Parent Support Board for 3 years. In 1989 Cheryl Cragun was approached by Sandra Senn, the school’s founder, to become an official employee of the school. Cheryl Cragun attended Saddleback College to pursue her Early Childhood Education certification. She taught preschool until 1996. This is when the school was sold and she was asked to take the position of Preschool Director. Since 1996, Cheryl Cragun has enjoyed overseeing the preschool and being involved with all the children and their families. Cheryl Cragun loves spending time with her two grown daughters. Her hobbies are tennis, skiing, whitewater rafting and enjoying any activity that takes her outdoors into the sunshine.
